Do I really need a Little Black Dress (LBD)?

Yes, every woman really needs a Little Black Dress (LBD)—at least one.

Are you surprised?

Why? It’s a wardrobe staple—a must-have item for any woman who wants to dress her best.

If you only have one dress in your closet, my recommendation—make it a little black dress!

There are so many great ways you can wear a Little Black Dress! It can be knee-length or mini.  It can have sleeves or no sleeves. You can dress it up or down. It can be serious or sexy! It can be worn to work with a jacket and boots or to an evening affair with a great pair of black pumps, diamond stud earrings and don’t forget that bold, statement cocktail ring on your hand.

What other dress can you do so much with?

How to pick the right little black dress.

  1. Know your body shape and pick a style and cut that flatters your shape.
  2. Be sure it fits you perfectly! A tailor can help; they’ll make your LBD ‘magically’ fit!
  3. Be sure it plays up your feminine side, reflects your personal style and is age appropriate for you.
  4. If you can only afford one LBD then choose a classic silhouette – it will be money well spent on a timeless investment!
  5. Always accessorize your LBD with modern elements, creating multiple looks for day and night.
  6. Only shop in the stores that you can afford and make sure your LBD stays within your budget.
  7. Wear it often and just have fun with it!
